Connecting ConvertKit with Bouncer

Here you will find the instructions on how to connect your ConvertKit account with Bouncer and how to import your list and export verified addresses back to ConvertKit.

Connecting your Covertkit account with Bouncer is very simple! To do that, log into your Convertkit account, click on the Account icon (right top corner) and go to Settings You will see the Advanced section and your API Secret field. Once you copy the API key, go to your Bouncer account, select Verify List, and click on the Covertkit icon in the Integrations section. Bouncer will ask you to enter the API key. When it’s done, your integration is already set!

Verifying your list

Step 1

Once the subscribers are added to your ConvertKit account, you need to create a tag for the ones that should to be verified. In the Subscribers Tab, click on + Create a Tag, add the name and assign the tag to the selected contacts. Go to your Bouncer account, select Verify List, and hit the Converkit Import button.

Step 2

Select the tag and start the verification. Please remember that the maximum size of the list is 10k email addresses. Once the verification is complete, you can export the clean data back to Convertkit by clicking on the export button in the row of completed verification.

Step 3

When you choose Export Verification Results, you can see the option to remove a specific group of email addresses (e.g., undeliverable, risky: disposable, etc.). All the email addresses with the status ‘undeliverable’ will be marked as Cancelled Subscribers on your Convertkit account. After the process is finished, a confirmation window will pop out.

Terminology

Deliverable
The recipient’s email provider has confirmed that the email address exists, it is safe to send.
Risky
The email address may result in a bounce or low engagement. Risky addresses: Accept All, Full Mailbox, or Disposable.
Undeliverable
The address is either syntactically incorrect or does not exist.
Unknown
We were unable to receive a response from the email provider. The credits for such verification will not be deducted from your balance. We never charge you for the email addresses with this status.
